Job Summary

Are you confident managing challenging behaviour and passionate about supporting young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs This is an excellent opportunity for Behaviour Mentors Youth Workers or experienced SEN TAs to join a forward-thinking inclusion team and make a lasting impact.

Resposibilites:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH ADHD or behavioural needs.

  • Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation techniques (Team Teach or equivalent).

  • Work closely with teachers SENCOs and pastoral staff to promote emotional regulation and learning engagement.

  • Act as a positive role model building trust and resilience in students.

  • Support reintegration and transition programmes for pupils returning to mainstream education.



  • Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor Youth Worker or SEMH Teaching Assistant.

  • Confidence in handling challenging situations calmly and positively.

  • Understanding of safeguarding trauma-informed practice or restorative approaches.

  • Available full-time and committed to consistency for the term.

    Required Skills:

    Required Education:

    Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant / Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification Teach / MAPA / Positive Behaviour Support certification in Psychology Education Youth Work Criminology or Social Sciences highly desirable but not essential.
