Job Summary

Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: Houston TX 77030

Duration: 12 weeks (10/27/2025 01/24/2026)

Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM MondayFriday 8.5-hour shifts

Position Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography and breast imaging procedures to assist physicians in detecting abnormalities diagnosing conditions and guiding treatment. The role requires strong technical skills attention to patient care and adherence to safety and imaging standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols.
Ensure proper positioning compression and imaging techniques for optimal image quality.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Assist with breast biopsies and utilize radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology as needed.
Educate and prepare patients for procedures ensuring comfort and safety.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support patient care.

Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (M) Mammography certification required.
Current state licensure (if applicable).
Minimum of 12 years of recent mammography experience preferred.
Experience with breast biopsies and RFID technology a plus.

Skills:
Mammography Imaging Breast Biopsies Patient Care Radiation Safety RFID Image Quality Assurance Communication Skills.

Certifications:

ARRT (R) and (M) required
BLS (AHA) preferred
