Job Summary

Work Shift:

Day - 8 Hour (United States of America) Summary:
Manages the staff that provides the delivery of patient care for a group of patients. Directs and delegates patient care assignments to health team via the Assistant Nurse Manager and Clinical Coordinator based on patient care needs. Collaborates with nursing directors CNO and nursing supervisors to insure appropriate resources to internal/external customers. Exhibits an ongoing commitment to quality. Serves as advocate on behalf of staff and patients/families. Serves as a leader and mentor for staff. Works in establishing collegial relations with physicians. Responsible for carrying out the mission vision values and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.

& Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.


:
Five (5) years nursing experience.


Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire.


Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves gown mask etc. Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook Midas etc.). Proficiency in Intranet/Internet use. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Skilled in conflict resolution critical thinking task management and appropriate prioritization/delegation. Provides oversight of evaluations to ensure they are turned in timely. Effective budget development and management. Able to coordinate plan and conducts effective meetings.
