Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (2) of their properties in Duluth MN (55805). The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance experience with unit turns have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. Experience with boilers (boilers license required). This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) communities with 94 income restricted units built in 2024 and 5 stories.

Schedule: Monday Friday: 8am 5pm - on-call rotation after conversion will be applicable.

Pay: $25/hour. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

2 years experience in residential maintenance unit turns work orders and preventative maintenance.
Punctual and reliable.
Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
