The Senior Manager Regional Procurement Eastern U.S. & Canada manages the overall procurement support and delivery in the designated US & Canada geography.This position is responsible for providing oversight into existing contracts leading the development and sourcing of new categories/suppliers and identifying value creation opportunities while directly supporting hotel purchasing teams. This role is the regional hub which connects enterprise procurement strategy to customers and final mile supplier delivery.
This position will be based in the Eastern US and will support Eastern U.S. & Canada.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- 4-year undergraduate degree in business finance hospitality or related discipline
- 7 years progressive experience in the Procurement disciplinehospitality industryhighlypreferred
- Prior experience working with group purchasing organizations or sourcing for hospitality and food service.
- Experience executing competitive bids negotiations and contract management
- Working operational and sourcing knowledge of multiple disciplines including Food & Beverage Rooms Engineering
- Ability to deliver value of the contracted programs and effectively balance the interests of individual hotels while driving participation growth and synergies across the market.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred
- Knowledge of best-in-class procurement practices operating procedures controls and governance.
- Effective in prioritizing workflow travel and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate and influence change among property above property and supplier stakeholders
- Strong data and analytics capability including use of MS excel Power BI and other analytical tools/software.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Advances the procurement strategy by effectively managing program adoption and execution whilst supporting individual hotel priorities.
- Delivers value through supplier alignment and performance oversight across all categories.
- Identifies gaps to program need and coordinates with regional national and enterprise category / contracting teams to deliver new programs to customers.
- Monitors participation opportunities through individual hotel procurement reviews one-on-one hotel leader engagements and market meetings as needed.
- Analyzes spend data to identify savings opportunities to drive incremental value.
- Leads communication on new and existing supplier changes updates and opportunities.
- Drives compliance and usage of supplier programs supporting implementation of new processes.
- Provides training development and knowledge transfer to hotel leaders in compliance with the enterprise procurement strategy.
- Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with regional and property procurement and finance teams to understand the business and ensure timely exchange of information.
- Participates in regional supplier business reviews site visits activation events and trade shows.
