Job Summary

7.5 hours per day (inclusive of 1/2 unpaid lunch)

The Tier II and Tier III MTSS Academic Tutor supports Taunton High Schools Multi-Tiered System of

Support (MTSS) by providing targeted small-group and individualized academic interventions for
students at risk of course failure. This position focuses on improving student achievement
through data-driven instruction collaboration with teachers and continuous progress monitoring. The
tutor works closely with the MTSS team to ensure supports are aligned consistent and equitable
across student groups.

Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier II and Tier III academic support in small groups or one-on-one settings during and after
school.
Reinforce core content instruction in collaboration with teachers focusing on literacy numeracy
and executive functioning.
Use data and progress-monitoring tools to identify student needs and adjust supports accordingly.
Document sessions track student progress and share results with staff and families.
Participate in MTSS and Student Support Team meetings to align interventions.
Build strong supportive relationships that promote engagement accountability and confidence.
Contribute to a culture of equity inclusion and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Required:
Bachelors degree in Education or related field.

Preferred:

Massachusetts DESE certification (Academic or Specialist area).

Demonstrated success in improving student achievement through targeted instruction.
Experience implementing MTSS or RTI frameworks at the secondary level.
Strong data literacy and commitment to equity-driven practices.
