On Job Training to Become a Pathologists Assistant
Northern Indiana
Position Description: Seeking a candidate to be trained while working to become a full-time Pathology Assistant for a community hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- Gross description and complete dissection of all simple and complex surgical specimens
- Assist pathologist in the operating room
- Perform frozen sections
- Assist in Bone Marrow/FNA specimen collection
- Assist in rare autopsy cases
- Assist with pathology laboratory operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science preferred experience in medical/healthcare field is favored.
- Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Additional Information:
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
