Pioneer Valley Regional School is seeking a
full-time Administrative Assistant. The
Administrative Assistant will become part of our collegial and high-performing main office team.
Responsibilities1. Answer and direct phone calls; greet and assist students families and community members.2. Manage the Principals online calendar and schedule appointments as needed.3. Document and maintain records of faculty staff and student attendance; communicate with families regarding absences.4. Process staff absence forms and schedule substitutes; distribute lesson plans rosters keys and other materials to substitute educators.5. Orient new substitute educators.6. Create update and distribute the daily school calendar and communicate schedule changes throughout the year.7. Post School Council notices School Committee agendas and job openings for PVRS.8. Participate in the districts emergency response system during drills and real emergencies.9. Welcome and monitor students sent to the office; maintain awareness of student comings and goings including dual-enrollment students.10. Manage building use requests including scheduling communication and key/swipe card tracking.11. Manage purchase orders ordering and financial tracking for all middle high school accounts including student activity and club accounts and the Principals office account.12. Assist in preparing and running graduation and other major school events.13. Assist students staff and families with various requests and inquiries.14. Support preparations for the start and close of the school year.15. Cross-train with other office staff to ensure consistent Main Office coverage.16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

The anticipated salary range for this position may be found in the
