EHS Specialist

About the Role

As our new EHS Specialist you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of environmental health safety and security compliance at our this role you will have the opportunity to shape the EHS function influence internal behaviors and ensure alignment with both Norwegian regulations and Abbotts global standards.

You will work independently and act as the key contact for regulatory authorities internal stakeholders and contractors. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of the EHS agenda and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific EHS strategies procedures and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with Norwegian laws and Abbott corporate standards (ISO FDA etc.).
• Lead risk assessments incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate audits inspections and emergency response activities.
• Manage hazardous waste permits chemical safety and occupational health programs.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and lead internal behavior change initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed EHS into daily operations.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in technical/scientific field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EHS including working in an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to lead EHS training and drive behavioral change.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and Norwegian regulations.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English spoken and written.
• Experience with GMP ISO13485 and auditing is a plus.
