Your Opportunity
Join Mission Australias Canterbury Bankstown Youth Service (CBYS) where we support young people and young families aged 1625 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. CBYS offers a range of support services and accommodation options tailored to meet clients at any stage of need.
In this hands-on role youll provide welfare support to clients living in our crisis accommodation refuge helping them build life skills access services and work toward stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and induct clients into the service.
- Support clients in achieving their goals alongside case managers.
- Provide practical day-to-day support and supervision to ensure client safety.
- Assist with appointments challenging interactions and general service operations (e.g. cooking cleaning maintenance).
- Maintain accurate case files and contribute to reports.
- Perform administrative duties to support efficient service delivery.
Requirements for Success
- Certificate or Diploma in Community Services (Youth Work) or related field.
- Understanding of youth homelessness and at-risk populations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Before starting work with us you will need to undertake a national police history check qualifications and referee checks and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
