Business Support Specialist II - Housing & Homelessness Response

About the Job:In this position you will assist the Housing & Homelessness Response Department with administrative financial and customer service based inquiries as needed.

Job Type:Full-Time

Work Schedule:Monday-Friday (8 hours per day)

Work Location:30 S Nevada Ave Colorado Springs CO 80903 USA

Learn more about the department: position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year and any furloughs subsequently approved.

As a Business Support Specialist II you will:

  • Respond to inquiries from GoCOS appropriately and professionally
  • Track and analyze program budget expenditures operational issues and financing requirements
  • Analyze financial and statistical data and report on your findings
  • Intake and process invoices from contractors and third parties
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Housing Officer including but not limited to scheduling and other tasks as needed
  • Support the front desk as business needs arise
  • Manage office supplies and scheduling for department
  • Other tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED).
  • Three years of full-time professional experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Customer Service
  • Experience in finance ex. budgeting banking accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft outlook
