Counsellor (Virtual KPSC)

HTS (HIV testing service) & Linkages  

• Conduct HTS counselling according to LPK guidelines and protocols - including HIV group counselling Mobile HTS whenever applicable.
• Facilitate linkage to ART with proper referral process and following up for service confirmation of newly diagnosed HIV () cases.
• Conduct counselling sessions with LPK methods and tools including HTS ART adherence counselling psychological support use of IEC materials Pamphlets visual aids (flipcharts) whenever appropriate.
• Collaborate with other colleagues (Medial Officer Online team and Outreach team) internally as necessary.
• Provide HTS Pre-test counselling to support clients to make voluntary decision after well-informed.
• Identify index clients and facilitate the Index Testing by following the LPK procedures. 
• Track well on individual clients clinical appointment and tracing immediately for missed appointment cases.
• Deliver proper post-test counselling for containing emotions of HIV diagnosed cases and support Linkage to ART (educate positive living Pre ART and sustain adherence).

Linkage to PrEP

• Provide PrEP information as one of HIV prevention supports to all eligible clients who are sharing certain risk behaviours in community.
• Provide Pre-PrEP screening (substantial risk assessment) during HTS Pre-test counselling services and proceed referral for PrEP initiation if client shows interest.
• Provide clients to get concept of whom should get PrEP prevention and well understanding on meaning of discontinuation after prior informed to LPK.
• Conduct PrEP counselling according to LPK guidelines and protocols whenever applicable.
• Conduct to accomplish of PrEP cascade.

Mental Health Counselling

• Deliver MHPSS screening to clients with standard checklist to clients who are with suspected Mental Health related complaints.
• Provide specific mental health intervention that practice in LPK as per result of screening and/or next level referral in need MHPSS counselling to distressed and anxious people who are also living with HIV in need.

Others

• Actively participate in the programs implemented by Lan Pya Kyel.
• Record daily forms and documents and prepare reports on time.
• Support Virtual KPSC team as needed.

Qualifications :

• At least a high school education is required and a graduate degree is preferable.
• Working experience in HIV/TB projects/programs with high-risk and marginalized populations is a must.
• Must have minimum (3) years counselling experience in HIV/TB projects.
• Must have good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of English and computer.
