The Division of Endocrinology is seeking two full-time associate endocrinologists: one for Brampton Civic Hospital and one for Etobicoke General Hospital.
The successful candidates will join a collaborative team in delivering full-time inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care and have access to an excellent diabetes education centre with a full range of nuclear medicine resources. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Accountabilities
- Participate as a member of the division in providing call coverage at one of the hospital sites
- Provide patient follow up in their community-based practice located in the central west catchment area
About the Program
The Endocrinology program has a robust of resources available to provide excellent endocrinology care in hospital and in the community. We have a well-established diabetes education program and the ability to treat thyroid diseases with radioactive iodine. The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care located at Brampton Civic Hospital has a team of nurse practitioners nurses dieticians and pharmacists to provide care to the most complex diabetes patients.
Qualifications :
- Accredited medical degree (or equivalent)
- Certification and/or Fellowship in Endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC)
- License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of attendance punctuality and accountability
- Models behaviour that aligns with Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- Expertise in clinical teaching or clinical research preferred for those interested in education or research
