Django Developer

Position Description:

This is an exciting time for CGI and we want you to be part of it. We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and we are still growing! We are expanding in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills enthusiasm and dedication as part of our team. We are seeking a highly skilled Django Developer to join our dynamic team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design and implement back-end systems using Python Django and Flask.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs; manage code using Git-based version control.
Collaborate in agile cross-functional teams with designers and product managers.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (e.g. Docker OpenShift).
Implement automated testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
Design and optimize databases including data modeling and migrations.
Apply security and performance best practices throughout the SDLC.
Use tools like GitLab Azure Figma or Cloudflare as part of the development process.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

5 years of experience in each of the following:

-on experience developing scalable cloud services using modern DevSecOps practices.
responsive front-end skills in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and related technologies.
component based back-end skills in Python Django Flask and related technologies.
-on experience with Git-based version control systems and RESTful API integration.
communication and collaboration skills within agile multidisciplinary teams.

Beneficial Qualifications

with frameworks like Bootstrap Vue Django and Flask.
with CI/CD pipelines containerization and automated testing practices.
in data modelling database design migrations and optimizations.
with tools like GitLab OpenShift Figma Adobe XD Azure CloudFlare etc.
