Job Summary
The forklift operator will be driving electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push pull lift stack tier or move products equipment or materials. This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP Safety Regulatory and Company procedures and policies.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
- Position forks under loaded pallets skids boxes products or materials and transport load to designated area.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
- Follow GMPs and safety guidelines.
- Pick customer orders as required.
- Inventory material on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Inspect trailers prior to loading and unloading product. Document onto proper form.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting devices.
- Inspect truck daily and fill out operational checklists recharge batteries.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years Forklift Operator Experience Preferred
Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge

Related Experience: Previous relevant experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data entry

- Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams
- Learn and follow written rules and procedures
- Produce accurate documentation
- Maintain acceptable attendance
- Must be willing and able to learn various positions
- Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies
- Must adhere to and comply with all safety food safety environmental GMP rules regulations and policies
Additional Information :
Physical: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds climb stairs lift bend kneel stand for long periods of time work in confined spaces and work with heights
