Job Description

Gileads mission is to discover develop and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. The Senior Manager Contract Process Excellencewill report to the Senior Director Contract Process Excellence within Market Access Operations and be responsible for GPO membership management and Market Access Operations direct and in-direct customer management within Model N and SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the GPO membership management process including onboarding and validating in a timely manner to meet established deadlines
  • Manage membership in system of record (Member Centric) facilitate discovery sessions and lead the data assessment and profiling activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners providing inputs to guide new GPO strategy creation and lead GPO strategy system implementation and maintenance efforts
  • Work cross functionally with Market Access and Market Access Operations teams to analyze monthly/quarterly sales reports trends and anomalies through query development and customized reporting for the preparation of admin fee and/or incentive rebate calculations and reporting
  • Optimize existing system strategies in Model N to drive efficient and accurate admin fee/incentive rebate payments.
  • Monitor and coordinate appropriate customer slotting to contract tiers
  • Lead research and resolution of exceptions/errors coordinating cross functionally with Market Access and Market Access Operations teams
  • Customer management and maintenance for indirect customers (in Model N) and direct customers (in SAP)
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality control checks identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues or inefficiencies in customer management activities for indirect and direct channels including interfacing with systems support and IT to address operational issues with SAP and Model N
  • Proactively pursue opportunities to implement automation of processes and institution of industry best practices.
  • Collaborateeffectively with internal teams (operations IT cross-functional partners) and senior leadership to resolve issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government program regulations particularly in maintaining eligibility and Class of Trade designations.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment encouraging open communication and psychological safety to allow diverse perspectives and ideas to be shared respectfully.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and Eight Years Experience

OR

Masters Degree and Six Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry along with a Bachelors degree (BS or BA) in a related field.
  • Experience operationalizing complex contract designs within systems of record (e.g. Model N) GPO membership management contract operations or Market Access within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical order processes and customer service best practices.
  • Knowledge of Government (340B/FSS) and Commercial programs as well as applicable regulations ensuring compliance with government and commercial pricing programs that impact contract management and claims processing.
  • Proficiency with Model N SAP and Member Centric or similar systems used for customer management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives including system implementation data profiling and process optimization
  • Proven ability to resolve complex or escalated issues effectively.
  • Ability to identify analyze and provide solutions for business opportunities or challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal written and interpersonal) with a strong focus on time management follow-through and issue resolution.
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.


The salary range for this position is: $157590.00 - $203940.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation including experience qualifications and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role) paid time off and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical dental vision and life insurance plans*.
