DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for implementation troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provide support with IT systems including day-to-day operations monitoring and problem resolution for all the client problems.
- Provides second level problem identification diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware software applications mainframe mini or client/server based.
- Creates and/or maintains operating systems communications software database packages compilers assemblers and utility programs.
- Modifies existing software as well as create special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications.
- Education:Bachelors degree
- If you do not have a Bachelors degree the following may be substituted:
- High school diploma plus four (4) years of relevant experience
- Associate degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience
- Professional certification may be substituted for an additional year of relevant experience.
- Five (5) years of previous experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Experience in emergency management homeland security public safety or related field preferred.
- Experience with enterprise IT systems networks and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of federal IT and cybersecurity standards (FISMA NIST DHS policies).
- Experience with Active Directory Exchange virtualization cloud platforms and enterprise backup/recovery solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell Bash Python or equivalent).
- $48/hour
