As an Analyst in the Banks & Broker Dealers team you will leverage your analytical skills knowledge of accounting and corporate finance and strong teamwork skills to support credit decisions for a diverse portfolio of financial institutions. You will develop the analytical skills needed to evaluate assess and document client creditworthiness as well as structure and negotiate new transactions/requests.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients consisting of North American Banks Broker Dealers Fintechs Credit Unions Card Processors and other financial institutions with responsibility for performing ongoing financial analysis stress testing projections peer comparisons and client exposure management
- Perform on-going monitoring and management of a diverse portfolio of risk including traditional credit products markets products (derivatives trading and financing) intraday liquidity facilities and other credit exposures
- Develop a well-informed forward looking credit view of your clients business and JPMorgans activity by staying current on industry trends financial performance and capital markets needs
- Facilitate open communication with colleagues across the firm including bankers operations legal and finance
- Stay informed about the evolving economic legislative and regulatory environment that impacts the financial institution sector
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Strong interest in client interaction and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated with a natural passion to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks with the ability to prioritize among competing projects to deliver work in a timely manner
- Strong understanding of financial products corporate finance and market dynamics
- Completion of a banks formal credit training program or corporate finance and accounting coursework
- 1 plus years experience in credit analysis investment banking or similar
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment
- Highly proficient in Excel PowerPoint and Word
