As the Head of Housing and Homelessness you will lead SECLs Community Connector assertive outreach and housing programs champion innovation and grow our presence in the sector.

You will oversee a dynamic team working collaboratively to deliver high-impact person-centered services. Build on SECLs extensive partnerships across governments corporate and community sectors to strengthen our reach and influence.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our Executive Leadership Team and reporting into the CEO you will:

Program Leadership & Strategy

  • Set the vision and strategy for our Community Connector and housing programs
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand SECLs footprint in the housing and homelessness sector
  • Drive a data-informed approach to service delivery evaluation and reporting
  • Monitor emerging trends and policy changes for best practices.

Operational & Program Management

  • Lead the delivery monitoring and evaluation of impactful programs.
  • Build partnerships with government agencies corporates community groups and stakeholders
  • Manage budgets securing funding and ensuring program sustainability

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funding bodies policymakers and partner organizations.
  • Represent SECL in forums working groups and strategic collaborations
  • Advocate for policies and practices that promote equitable opportunities for our community.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire mentor and lead a high-performing team.
  • Cultivate a culture of authentic agile and inclusive leadership

Skills required to undertake the role

We welcome candidates from government corporate and community backgrounds who bring:

  • Proven experience in housing homelessness or community services.
  • A strategic and collaborative mindset that thrives on innovation. You challenge conventional boundaries and bring fresh cross-sector perspectives to complex social issues.
