Job Summary

Cabrillo Pet Hospital is looking for multiple personable friendly Kennel and Pet Store Assistants to join our team! This is a great entry level opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of pet care grooming day camp and pet nutrition. Both Part-Time and Full-Time positions available!

Salary: $17.50 22 per hour depending on experience and education

Schedule: Full-time Four or Five 8-hour shifts. Part-time flexible scheduling available. Weekends and Holidays Required.

We are a large multi-service practice offering veterinary services boarding & day camp and a pet store in beautiful San Diego California. We are proudly AAHA accredited and have been serving the Point Loma and Ocean Beach community since 1975.

Who You Are:

If you have a professional friendly personality and love to help pets you will fit right in with our team!

Experience working in customer service sales position preferred

Using a cash register cash handling experience (POS system)

Positive attitude is a must!

Experience working and caring for animals preferred

Comfortable in large groups of dogs

Able to safely handle cats

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Very detail-oriented

Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment

Willing to work at least 2 weekends per month and some holidays

Reliable transportation with the ability to be called in to work as needed

Ability to lift up to 50lbs be exposed to cats and dogs for long periods of time
