Classroom Aide - KindergartenJob Title: Classroom Aide - KindergartenResponsible to: School PrincipalJob Purpose: Assist in daily activities within a Kindergarten classroom : Monday Friday 7:30 am 2:30 pm (Full-Time)School Year: Follows Saint Bridget School Calendar School MissionSaint Bridget School: A Catholic community that encourages love of God respect for all and academic excellence. be at least 18 years of and friendly personality with sensitivity to the feelings and needs of to relate well to children and adhere to the schools program and experience working with early childhood or kindergarten-aged students. ResponsibilitiesProvide Classroom Support: Work closely with the Classroom Teacher to assist in implementing daily lesson plans learning centers and classroom routines. Reinforce concepts and skills introduced by the teacher through small group and one-on-one and Engage Students: Monitor students during classroom activities transitions lunch recess and dismissal to ensure their safety and well-being. Encourage positive social interactions and model respectful behavior consistent with the schools Catholic Health and Safety: Maintain awareness of each childs physical and emotional needs. Respond appropriately to accidents injuries or illnesses including administering first aid when necessary and following established emergency Organization and Preparation: Help maintain a clean orderly and welcoming classroom environment. Prepare and organize instructional materials supplies and activity centers as directed by the Instructional Activities: Participate actively in learning experiences such as reading aloud guiding art or craft projects assisting with hands-on learning activities and fostering creativity and Positive Behavior: Use consistent and developmentally appropriate strategies to support positive behavior and manage classroom expectations. Redirect and guide students in accordance with the Saint Bridget School Student Handbook and the teachers classroom management and Reporting: Maintain open and respectful communication with the Classroom Teacher regarding student progress behavior and any areas of concern. Promptly report incidents accidents or behavioral issues to the teacher or in Dismissal and Arrival Procedures: Help ensure that all students are safely received and dismissed according to school policies confirming that each child leaves with an authorized and Community Interaction: Foster a positive and welcoming environment that reflects the mission and values of Saint Bridget Development: Attend staff meetings in-service training sessions and professional development programs as requested to enhance skills and maintain awareness of best with School Staff: Work cooperatively with teachers specialists and administrators to support the academic social and spiritual growth of each student. Contribute to a collegial and team-oriented school Faith and Character Development: Model and support the Catholic identity of the school by promoting kindness respect and moral responsibility in all interactions with Other Duties as Assigned: Carry out additional responsibilities as requested by the Classroom Teacher or Principal to support the smooth operation of the classroom and school to the policies and procedures established within the Faculty and Staff Handbook.
