What youll be doing

• conducting clinical work including medical assessments (approximately 30% of time but this may increase when required) for officer and soldier candidates
• motivating training supporting and managing your close-knit team of medical officers to get the best out of everyone
• working closely with external specialists such as cardiologists where appropriate and working directly with Army colleagues and senior medical officers in Army training establishments
• taking responsibility for team resourcing and responding to clinical complaints quickly and effectively
• deputising for the chief medical officer and deputy chief medical officer when required

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

• a fully GMC qualified medical practitioner with licence to practise without restrictions
• excellent leadership managerial and delegation skills
• IT literacy and experience with Microsoft programmes
• commercial experience awareness and an innovative thinker
• being able to work effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines is essential

Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

• occupational medicine experience is desirable
• experience in a similar role would be an advantage
