Job Summary

Project Estimator
Remote Permanent Full Time Position

This role collaborates closely with both account management and design teams to develop cost analyses validate design standards and assist in guiding the proposal process. Responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation conducting site assessments if needed and estimating the total cost for material procurement and system implementation.

Responsibilities:

Compile information necessary for estimation by reviewing technical documents drawings proposals and related materials.
Determine necessary resources including labor materials and time by evaluating project requirements and schematics.
Partner with CAD specialists and sales personnel to create cost-effective solutions.
Calculate overall expenses by assessing the projects labor materials and time demands.
Address inconsistencies by gathering relevant data and conducting analysis.
Prepare and display detailed cost estimates for team review and client presentations.
Generate specialized reports by analyzing project data trends and summarizing critical insights.
Maintain and update a database of cost information to support ongoing and future projects.
Support team objectives by fulfilling related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
At least five years experience in the design or estimation of material handling equipment and storage solutions.
Proven track record collaborating on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
Exceptional attention to detail and effective time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
Comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment and dealing with uncertainty.
Capable of advanced data analysis detailed cost tracking and comprehensive reporting.
Familiarity with one or more prominent conveyor systems vendors (e.g. Intelligrated Dematic Hytrol TGW etc) is advantageous.
Relevant skills: analytical thinking estimation project planning strategic analysis effective communication requirements evaluation.
Occasional travel to client or vendor locations up to approximately 10% of the time may be required.
