What Youll Do

As a Commissioning Engineer at ABM youll be the go-to expert for commissioning medium voltage systems and equipment. Youll ensure everything is running safely smoothly and efficientlyright from the start.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Be a daily champion of safety and human performance improvement (HPI).
Lead Job Hazard Analyses with your team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Verify function and proper operation of medium voltage powerline carrier equipment DFRs and RTUs.
Commission SEL and GE microprocessor relays with confidence and accuracy.
Support RTU upgrade projects and deliver clear detailed test reports.
Interpret complex electrical diagrams and flag any discrepancies.
Keep your time expenses and company vehicle in top condition.

What You Bring:

4 years of experience in electrical testing with a focus on protection and control systems.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
Hands-on experience with SEL GE ABB and Westinghouse relays.
Familiarity with test equipment like Doble 6150 Omicron CT Analyzer Vanguard CT 2000C and more.
Proficiency in test software such as ProTest or Protection Suite.
Experience developing commissioning test plans
Strong understanding of NERC PRC-005-6 and safe work practices in high-voltage substations.
