General Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of College and Career Pathways & Partnerships The Career Pathways Coordinator supports regional initiatives to expand student access to high-demand career pathways in fields such as advanced manufacturing IT and addition the Coordinator convenes partners across K12 postsecondary workforce business and community organizations to align strategies strengthen system capacity and ensure equitable access to career exploration and transition opportunities.

Salary:
The full compensation range for this position is $68762.89 - $83670.02 annually. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.

Assignment:
This position will be full-time and work220 daysper year.The person in this role will focus onregional strategy partnership development and system alignment thatimprovesawareness access and outcomes for students.The ideal candidateshoulddemonstrateaproventrack recordof building and sustaining impactful partnerships among educational institutions businesses and community organizations.Theywill bringdemonstratedexperience supporting diverse and underserved student populations. Strong written and verbal communication skillsare essential including the ability to effectivelyfacilitatemeetings workshops and collaborative initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate development of regional career pathway strategies (e.g. Advanced Manufacturing/IT Healthcare) that expand student enrollment in high-demand pathways and increase postsecondary credential completion.
  2. Guide creation of roadmaps community engagement plans and workforce plans with clear employer-informed outcomes.
  3. Launch and convene regional leadership teams of K12 higher education employers and students to guide strategy development and implementation. Convene ad-hoc workgroups to co-design and implement programming aligned with sector strategies.
  4. Plan and convene annual BusinessEducation Summits for partner review feedback and recognition of progress.
  5. Coordinate sector-focused events and targeted initiatives (e.g. nPower Girls healthcare career events) that engage students and families in exploring high-demand careers.
  6. Support the Development of communication tools to help students families and counselors understand labor market demand required skills training options and career planning costs.
  7. Design and deliver professional learning of labor market outlooks and workplace skills and co-lead dual credit alignment workshops with K12 educators and postsecondary faculty to expand stackable course maps and early college credit opportunities.
  8. Coordinate employer involvement in classrooms career exploration and work-based learning initiatives including sector-specific internship and pathway development groups; Support defining employer-informed credentials of value and identification of essential STEM/21st century skills for regional pathways.
  9. Lead collection and reporting of participation demographic credential and outcome data to track impact and ensure accountability across regional strategies.
  10. Document processes and responsibilities assumed by partners in implementingthe regionalstrategies.
Other Functions:
  1. Collaborate with internal College and Career Pathways programs and other ESD112 programs to increase capacity and effectiveness in district support.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree or higher in education Workforce Development Counseling Public Administration or a related field.
  2. Three years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    1. K12 or postsecondary education workforce development or career/college advising.
    2. Convening or managing cross-sector partnerships (e.g. education workforce business community organizations).
    3. Coordinating regional or multi-organization initiatives.
  3. Experience with project coordination tracking deliverables and using data for reporting or program evaluation.
  4. Experience designing or supporting regional strategy development (roadmaps community engagement plans or workforce planning).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Five years of experience in education workforce or regional partnership development.
  2. Experience managing grants budgets or reporting requirements tied to deliverables.
  3. Familiarity with Washingtons Career Connect Washington framework dual credit systems and workforce/education data.
  4. Experience leading professional development or training for educators or advisors.
  5. Demonstrated success in employer engagement strategies (e.g. internships work-based learning industry credential pathways).

Working Conditions/Employment Requirements

Working Conditions:

  1. Office School and community environments.
  2. Flexible hours to include some evenings and weekends.
  3. Travel throughout the ESD 112 region.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the WSP and FBI.
