Role Summary
Werelooking for an excellent communicator with a passion for data and the ability to deliver a data governance framework thatwill formthefoundationformarket leadingCRE leasing dataat JLL.
TheData Management Leadwillmarry their influential communication stylewith a deep and demonstrable knowledge ofsuccessfullyimplementing data governanceframeworks.In addition to their technical data knowledge the correct candidate willbe an agent for change anda key individualas weevolve the data maturity of our business.
Therolewillbe responsible forcreatingand enforcingpoliciesand governancefor effective datamanagement both for the team of dataprofessionals they manage as well as the wider business.This will includeestablishingrobustprocesses fordata collectionandmaintenanceas well asmonitoringand analysingdata quality and usage.The role will beadata SMEto the businessandprovide authority support and guidance onthe use and value ofthe data under their management.You will have the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals across the EMEA and APAC regions.
Youllgain a strong understanding of how the UK leasing businessoperatesso that we canaligntheexistingbusiness processeswith the most effective data governance structures.This will require close collaboration with both thestakeholders on the business side and the various internal and external product teams who develop andmaintainour platforms.
Responsibilities
Design implement and run a data governance frameworkthat enables us to ownmarket leading CRE leasing data
Lead and represent the data team and strategy to senior business stakeholders gaining their support and managing the business change
Implementeffective procedures for datausageand analysis
Determinerules and procedures for data sharingand accessibility
Provide supportand guidance on theuse of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
Ownership over data related activities assuch as datacleansing and migration projects
Assistwith reports and data extraction when needed
Monitor andanalyseinformation and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies upgrades etc.)
Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
Work with business users to understandwhat challenges and improvements are needed andown the strategic roadmap to address these requirements
Skills
Strongcommunication&stakeholder managementskillswith theability to communicate across all business levels
Proven experiencein adata management role
Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection analysis distribution etc.)
Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
Highly organised able to work independently and effectively manage workload
Ability to multitask and prioritiseown workload
Stronguser of Microsoft office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Attention to detail accuracy
Self-motivatedenthusiasticand able to work on own initiative
Beneficial:Use of data querying and data visualisation tools (SQL Tableau Power BI etc.)
Experience
3years experienceinadata governance ordatamanagementrole
Proven abilitytomanage a team of dataspecialiststo achieve set goals
Demonstrable experience inimplementing and enhancing data governance processes
Coordinating between multiple parties to successfully deliver change management
Creation of automated data quality and usage reporting
Understanding of data architecture and database management
