Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer (Level 3) to join our Interiors Responsibility Center (IRCSC) Quality Team located in Ladson South Carolina.

You will work on our Boeing Quality Engineering team to support APQP verification and acceptance activity. This position reports to a first-line manager. This onsite position offers exciting opportunities to apply leadership creativity and to grow in a dynamic Quality Engineering organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation

  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements

  • Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements

  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

  • Performs analysis tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances

  • Performs bench marking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry

  • 3 years of experience developing/managing metrics and root cause corrective actions (RCCA)

  • 3 years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001) Aerospace Standard (AS9100))

  • 1 years of experience in the application/deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications (CQA-Certified Quality Auditor); (CQE-Certified Quality Engineer); (CQT-Certified Quality Technician)

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Experience leading or managing projects and teams

Shift:

This is a 1st shift position.
