Key Responsibilities
As the Financial Analyst you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate financial insights and supporting decision-making across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
Identify trends variances and opportunities providing actionable insights to leadership teams.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Collaborate with departments to develop budgets forecasts and long-term financial plans.
Utilize financial modeling tools and data analytics to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
Operational Support & Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams including operations sales and supply chain to support financial initiatives and decision-making.
Provide guidance and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement:
Assist in financial system implementations process improvements and ad-hoc projects as required.
Support initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy streamline processes and strengthen financial controls.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
A degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis preferably in heavy equipment manufacturing or related industries.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
Familiarity with financial modeling budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
Key Competencies:
Strong analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
