The Job:

As Material Planner youll be part of our Materials team located in Willard Ohio. Youll get to:

The job of Material Planner II is to ensure that parts are brought into the plant at a rate to keep the production lines
running while meeting all operational KPIs.

Responsibilities / Authority:

  • Ensure all required parts for production are ordered timely and accurately to meet customer demand.

  • Monitor lead times and planner codes.

  • Generate reports using Access and or Excel including: MRP MISLCOM PUR & IM.

  • Keep interplant orders (X-orders) and vendor releases current and up to date.

  • Communicate with freight companies on inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Collaborate with the appropriate departments in a timely manner when parts become hot.

  • Manage inventory levels to accommodate the days of supply required for production.

  • Analyzing and dispositioning slow moving and no demand items.

  • Become cross-trained to ensure coverage throughout the departments.

  • Perform other related departmental tasks assigned by the Manager or Group Leader

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.

  • Working technology skills such as: Mapics Access Excel.

  • Able to learn how to navigate and utilize the supplier portal and lean logistics.

  • Basic understanding of mathematical operations (using Excel or calculator).

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a high sense of urgency.

  • Must be self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently or with a group.

  • Ability to provide professional customer and personal services.
