Job Summary
Coventry Public SchoolsHEAD COACH BOYS INDOOR TRACKDuties and Responsibilities:1. Direct and supervise assistant coaches2. Organize and run practices3. Teach fundamentals and skills4. Teach rules and regulations5. Display and teach good sportsmanship6. Assist in maintaining issuing and collecting all equipment and supplies7. Supervise players at all times8. Complete Injury Report Form within 24 hours and notify Athletic Director of any injuryrequiring medical attention9. Comply with the rules and regulations of the school Athletic Department andInterscholastic League10. Attend all coaches meetings practices and contests11. Verify academic eligibility of all players based on academic and weekly attendancerecords12. Communicate program expectations to student-athletes and parents13. Monitor each athletes athletic and academic performance14. Establish and maintain consistent standards of behavior aligned with the Coventry HighSchools Student Code of Conduct15. Document and report violations of the Student Code of Conduct to a designatedadministrator at Coventry High School16. Schedule and conduct a pre-season parents meeting17. Participate in district training related to Bullying and Harassment Title IX and :1. Five years of coaching at the high school level preferred2. Possesses knowledge/skills in Football based upon experience and/or coaching3. Directly responsible to the Athletic Director in collaboration with the high schoolprincipal4. Must meet Rhode Island Interscholastic Leagues coaching certificationrequirements5. Demonstrated ability in recognizing that the growth and development of eachstudent- athlete requires meeting their individual needs.6. Must be CPR First Aid and AED certified and have completed the NFHSConcussion Course.
