Job Summary
The Dentistry Program is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Faculty Member in Prosthodontics to join its academic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in teaching and learning a strong research profile with publications in reputable journals and active participation in community engagement academic advising and administrative responsibilities. The faculty member will contribute to the academic excellence and strategic goals of the program and carry out duties as assigned by the Head of Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in Prosthodontics to undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
Develop and update course content to align with the latest evidence-based practices and academic standards.
Supervise students in clinical practice laboratories and research projects.
Conduct original research and maintain a consistent record of peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals.
Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their learning and professional development.
Participate in departmental and college-wide committees accreditation activities and program development.
Engage in community outreach and promote public oral health awareness initiatives.
Support administrative and academic duties as required by the program leadership.
Contribute to the enhancement of interdepartmental collaboration and institutional partnerships.
Requirements
Education:
- A Ph.D. in Prosthodontics or a closely related field from a recognized reputable university.Alternatively: Board Certification in Prosthodontics is acceptable.
License:
Valid professional classification as a Senior Registrar or Consultant from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Academic Rank:
Appointment as Assistant Professor Senior Registrar or Consultant depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated excellence in research and scholarly publication (local and international).
Proven ability to conduct and lead high-quality research in the field of Prosthodontics.
Strong background in course design instructional delivery and student mentoring.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of academic dashboards learning management systems and related technology.
Capacity to provide academic leadership and contribute to program development.
Strong presentation teamwork and administrative skills.
