Job Summary
An Ofsted Outstanding 1118 school in Oxford is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Music ECT to join their Performing Arts Department from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a school renowned for its musical excellence and academic achievement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3KS5 combining performance composition and theory to build students musical understanding and confidence. They will deliver high-quality lessons direct ensembles and help organise performances concerts and events that celebrate the schools strong artistic culture.
The ECT will receive tailored support from an experienced mentor and will participate in the schools highly regarded induction and professional development programme ensuring a smooth transition into their teaching career. They will also be encouraged to lead or support extracurricular groups such as choir orchestra or band.

Experience and Qualifications
- QTS/PGCE and degree in Music or related discipline
- Strong performance and/or composition skills
- Enthusiasm for co-curricular music and live performance
- Excellent classroom management and communication
