Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Dartford Depot (travel across Kent Essex London occasional UK travel)
Contract: Permanent 40 hours/week (MonFri)

About the Role
Ground Control Geotechnical Solutions delivers safe sustainable and high-quality geotechnical engineering services across the UK.
Were looking for an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead ground investigation soil and rock analysis and geotechnical design projects. Youll manage teams ensure technical excellence and drive client satisfaction through safe efficient and innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical design ground investigations and foundation analysis projects.
- Oversee site investigations data interpretation and technical report delivery.
- Provide technical review and sign-off on design reports risk assessments and method statements.
- Mentor and support Graduate and Senior Geotechnical Engineers.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations HSE standards and environmental best practice.
What Were Looking For
- Degree (BSc/MSc) in Geotechnical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Eurocode 7 BS5930 and geotechnical design standards.
- Experience with slope stability earthworks retaining wall and piling design.
- Excellent communication leadership and project management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
