Job Summary

Job Title: CT Tech Travel Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and computed tomography procedures ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. The technologist must be proficient in both CT and general X-ray modalities able to start IVs for contrast administration and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with other departments to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT and general radiographic imaging procedures according to established protocols.

  • Prepare and position patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Establish and maintain IV access for contrast administration as needed.

  • Operate and maintain imaging and processing equipment safely and effectively.

  • Evaluate image quality and ensure proper transmission to PACS.

  • Document procedures accurately within the EMR and radiology information systems.

  • Work collaboratively with physicians nurses and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Follow all infection-control radiation-safety and departmental policies.

Qualifications:
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License required

  • Fluoroscopy Permit (CDPH) required or obtained within 6 months of hire

  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required

  • BLS (AHA) certification required

  • Venipuncture competency required for IV contrast administration

  • Ability to perform both CT and X-ray procedures independently required

  • Minimum 2 years of recent imaging experience required per company policy

  • Type: Travel

  • Schedule: Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts as needed
