Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Location: Fargo ND 58102
Shift: Monday Friday 100% Onsite
Job Summary:
The Engineer Product II will plan coordinate and perform product design testing and analysis for electric machines (rotating components) as part of the Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) process. This role ensures design integrity performance and reliability within established project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute PV&V plans for electric machines using VISION.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet performance safety and cost targets.
- Conduct and analyze lab and field tests to validate designs and regulatory compliance.
- Document test results and maintain technical reports for traceability.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning within PV&V processes.
- Manage small to medium-scale PV&V projects independently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with rotating components or electric machine design/testing.
- Proficiency in Windchill Creo and data acquisition tools (accelerometers thermistors VNAs etc.).
- Strong analytical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electric drive systems (inverters connectors energy storage).
- Understanding of electromagnetics bearings cooling systems and insulation materials.
- Experience with accelerated test methods and virtual verification.
- 2 years hands-on experience using VISION for PV&V plans and ACR tracking.
- Ability to lead and manage projects while mentoring peers.
