Junior Accountant Claremont
Duties & Responsibilities
An established and fast-growing company in the food and environmental testing sector is seeking a Junior Accountant Trainee to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance graduate who is eager to learn and develop a solid foundation in accounting and financial administration.
Responsibilities:
- Issue daily purchase orders and analyse open orders
- Process and submit weekly supplier payments
- Prepare and send remittances to suppliers
- Reconcile supplier invoices to GRVs and purchase orders
- Assist accountants with invoice raising and related tasks
- Support general finance and administration functions as needed
Requirements:
- A 3-year tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software advantageous)
- High attention to detail accuracy and organisational ability
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional finance environment
