Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery (mills lathes grinders etc.) to manufacture complex aerospace components.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  3. Ensure parts are machined to exact tolerances using measurement tools such as micrometers calipers height gauges and other precision instruments.
  4. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
  5. Follow precise manufacturing processes and work instructions in compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace standards.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety principles.
  7. Collaborate with engineers quality control and other machinists to resolve issues and optimize machining processes.
  8. Document work accurately including material traceability and dimensional inspection records.
  9. Work with tight tolerances and high-spec materials such as titanium aluminum Inconel and stainless steel.

Required Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining or mechanical trades preferred.
  2. Minimum 35 years of experience in a machining role preferably within aerospace defense or precision manufacturing.
  3. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems.
  4. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings GD and amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning and amp; Tolerancing) and machining symbols.
  5. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments and quality assurance techniques.
  6. Experience operating both CNC and manual machine tools.
  7. Working knowledge of aerospace materials and machining practices.
  8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with 5-axis CNC machines including Mazak Okuma Haas or similar equipment.
  2. Prior experience in FAA-regulated or AS9100-certified facilities.
  3. Familiarity with CAM software (e.g. Mastercam Siemens NX) and G-code programming.
  4. Knowledge of lean manufacturing continuous improvement and Six Sigma principles.
