Manufacturing Sales Engineer
Job Overview: Our Machine Shop client is seeking to add a NEW Manufacturing Sales Engineer to their team. The Manufacturing Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory. This role focuses on identifying opportunities developing customer relationships securing orders and ensuring exceptional service throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with strong communication and relationship-building skills to meet and exceed customer needs.
This is a Direct Hire role.
Sales & Customer Development
Identify solicit and secure orders from both new and existing customers through direct visits calls and dealer relationships.
Generate and follow up on sales quotations to ensure successful conversions.
Proactively forecast and plan sales activities to meet territory goals.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain professional relationships with key customer personnel including purchasing engineering manufacturing quality assurance and management.
Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries issues and ongoing support needs.
Reporting & Communication
Provide regular activity and call reports detailing quotes orders and customer relationship developments as requested.
Maintain effective communication with the VP of Sales and Marketing regarding progress opportunities and challenges in the territory.
Additional Duties
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing.
Operate independently managing time and territory with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering manufacturing or a related technical field.
Previous outside sales experience preferred but not required.
Strong communication organization and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset.
Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus but not required.
