ABOUT THE POSITION:

Every seasoned successful collections expert knows what it takes to have a long-term profitable career: tenacity exceptional persuasion skills creative thinking and respect for regulatory boundaries. At LoanMart you will apply these skills and abilities to your account queue in a pay-for-performance compensation structure (base non-discretionary monthly bonus plan).

OBJECTIVES:

• Make payoff arrangements with customers to avoid or postpone vehicle repossession.
• Follow up on previously made payment arrangements as necessary.
• Using new/updated information provided through your skip-tracing efforts regularly follow up on outstanding repossession orders to ensure agents are pursuing vehicles.
• Generate fresh location leads for our vehicle repossession agents
• Meet production metrics in a fast-paced and growing department
• Locate and engage the customer in negotiations and/or vehicle surrender while meeting strict company guidelines and federal guidelines under the Fair Debt and Collections Protection Act.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• 3 to 5 years of late-stage auto loan or secured-lending collections
• Familiarity with computer/internet MS Word and Excel.
• Skip-tracing programs such as Experian US Tracers and/or Clear
• Professional communication techniques that balance your ability to provide positive customer service while yielding recovery results.
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing pool of past-due accounts with respect to the difficulty and complexity of the accounts.

POSITION PERKS AND STRUCTURE:

• Hybrid work schedule; usually three days at home (if you prefer) and two days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays with some variance for training performance and month-end). Offsite Saturday shifts may be required periodically.
