Position Specifics
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager or Service Location Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose
Responsible for maintaining the image of store facilities equipment cleanliness lot and grounds through routine maintenance. Performs any additional duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner all while adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain facilities image for customers and employees
- Stage equipment for customer clinics open house or other events
- Maintain grounds including lawn equipment displays and parking lot
- Performs basic maintenance on company equipment such as but not limited to oil change refueling changing filters and mileage monitoring for depreciation
- Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer service
- Coordinates required repairs for items that cannot be completed in house
- Services assembles and replaces things like light bulbs filters fixtures and displays
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
- Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
- Responsible for accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed
- May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Operates and maintains vehicles tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Experience Education Skills and Knowledge
- Work independently with little or no supervision self-motivated
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating vehicles tools and equipment for maintenance purposes
- Experience with basic computer functions
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Valid drivers license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid Indiana drivers license
- Must be able to operate large farm equipment
- Be able to climb up and down equipment
- Be able to operate a pickup truck w/trailer for lawn & garden deliveries
- Be on time each and every day
This position requires working around different crop dusts and requires the use of a pressure washer to clean the exterior of farm equipment.
HOURS:
Monday Friday 7:30 to 5:00
Saturday 7:30 to 12:00
Two 15 minute breaks
One hour lunch
