Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Master Electrician reporting to and working closely with the Technical Director provides lighting support for productions in the Catherine B. Berges Theatre and Staenberg Performance Lab.

Hang focus and strike lighting instruments as instructed by Technical Director or Lighting Designer.
Lead the Electrics Crew in the hang focus and strike of lighting instruments.
Update and maintain the theatrical lighting inventory.
Help maintain theatrical lighting equipment and tools.
Keep theatrical lighting spaces clean and orderly.
Aid in the wiring of specialty items such as practicals and led tape.
Program and operate ETC Eos family consoles.
Act as Board Operator.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/ or Qualifications:
Minimum three years experience in theatrical lighting is preferred.
Experience reading and understanding CAD drawings is required.
Proficient in the electrical wiring.
Knowledge of power supplies decoders and led tape.
Proficient knowledge of ETC Eos family software consoles and fixtures.
Proficient in the navigation of Vectorworks.
Experience with Hang and Focus of a light plot is preferred. Competencies:
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to work as a team player and also take on individual projects. Physical Demands &
Work Environment:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights on top of ladders and in genie lifts
This position needs to move around sit stand and stoop. Requires he ability to sit and stand for long periods.
This position requires work on nights and weekends.
This position is self-scheduled; individuals who have availability sign up for shifts on a call sheet that is shared weekly with all crew members.
