Job Summary
Join the Marketplace Core team to build and scale the app and website. Work closely with cross-functional teams in Product Design and Data to deliver user-focused features for both customers and partners. Take ownership of major roadmap initiatives ensure performance and reliability and contribute to the maturity of the engineering team.
Core Responsibilities
Design and develop mobile-first features using Flutter for iOS and Android
Collaborate with Product Design and Data teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
Lead execution of major product roadmap milestones
Support business-critical issues as part of the on-call rotation
Work with the following tech stack: Ruby on Rails Postgres MongoDB ECS on AWS
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
5 years of professional software engineering experience
2 years of mobile development experience including iOS and Android (iOS experience is great Android only experience not accepted)
Experience at strong consumer-facing technology companies operating at scale
Promotion to Senior level in prior roles
Bachelors degree in Computer Science
Experience building or contributing to marketplace or booking platforms
Experience implementing internationalization (i18n) and localization in mobile applications
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and containerization (ECS Docker Kubernetes etc.)
Currently living in NYC or willing to relocate prior to start role is not remote and requires 4 days/week in-office
Preferred Qualification
Strong product ownership and focus on customer experience
Expertise in Flutter or strong willingness to learn it (will accept candidates experienced in Native and React Native)
Ability to communicate empathetically with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with API integration and third-party services
Experience with UI/UX design implementation and user experience optimization
Track record of delivering polished high-quality mobile products
