Job Summary

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated full-time Instructor for the FAA Corporate Training Solutions Division.

*This position is contingent on the award of a federal contract.

Compensation: $31.46 Hour

Position Summary

The Instructor provides technical and operational training to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel in support of the Corporate Training Solutions Division at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC). This position is responsible for delivering developing and revising training curriculum that aligns with FAA mission objectives. Instruction is provided through lectures demonstrations and laboratory exercises designed to ensure students achieve and demonstrate proficiency in operating assigned systems or equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery

  • Deliver FAA-approved training courses in accordance with established lesson plans course objectives and approved teaching materials.
  • Conduct classroom and laboratory instruction through lectures demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
  • Measure and evaluate student performance through skill practices written tests and performance assessments.
  • Utilize FAA-provided and authorized teaching aids including lesson plans student guides lab guides handouts wall charts and equipment.

Classroom Administration

  • Conduct student orientation at the start of each class using FAA-provided materials and briefings.
  • Take attendance report No Shows and maintain class rosters.
  • Submit final grades and training results to the FAA in accordance with procedures.
  • Identify and communicate training-related issues including discipline or performance concerns to FAA representatives.
  • Provide end-of-course feedback and recommendations for improvement to the FAA.

Curriculum and Resource Support

  • Follow established lesson plans to ensure that all learning objectives and outcomes are met.
  • Identify and report needs for additional classroom materials resources or equipment to support training delivery.
  • Collaborate with FAA subject matter experts (SMEs) on revisions and updates to training materials course content and instructional aids.
  • Support classroom and laboratory setup including updates maintenance and repairs of instructional equipment.

Safety and Compliance

  • Learn and apply all safety-related procedures and guidelines for assigned training systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all instruction and lab activities comply with FAA contractor and site-specific safety requirements.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education
Candidate must meet at least one of the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related discipline; or
  • Completion of government private sector or military-specific training in similar systems or technologies.

Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in any combination of the following areas:

  • Technical: Electrical Engineering Electronics Technology Electro-Mechanical Systems Information Technology or Logistics.
  • Instructional: Teaching or developing training in Electronics Technology Mechanical Systems or Logistics in either government or private industry settings.

Instructor Certification

  • No instructor certification required.
  • Must be capable of teaching using FAA-provided lesson plans materials and equipment only.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver technical instruction effectively to adult learners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard instructional tools.
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety accuracy and professionalism in all aspects of training.

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and meet FAA security requirements.
  • Ability to travel domestically as required to support training delivery.
