Location: Virden Manitoba - Field-based across Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Full-time

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a background in construction and a passion for ensuring quality workmanship RFNOW Inc. is looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality control inspections on FTTH construction projects ensuring adherence to company standards.
Verify property restoration meets RFNOWs established practices.
Operate test equipment to confirm optical and RF power levels are set as designed.
Document underground vaults cabinets and other installations through photos and/or videos.
Create work orders to address non-compliant construction elements.
Communicate construction progress concerns with the Project Manager or Supervisor.
Perform emergency locates as required.
Adhere to industry-specific local provincial and federal regulations.
Assist with other duties as needed to support the team.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction maintenance and repair of outside plant (OSP) fibreoptic networks.
Strong knowledge of safe construction practices for aerial and underground communications networks.
Problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints system maps and general layouts.
Experience using computer or test equipment relevant to the role (e.g. signal level meters ohm meters).
Valid Class 5 drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.

Work Environment & Details:
Field-based role involving varied environmental conditions and extensive walking.
Travel throughout Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan with some overnight stays.
Monday to Friday schedule with potential weekend work as business needs dictate.
