Job Summary
Position Title: Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical
Location: Utica NY
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts)
Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Hourly Pay: $55 to $60/hour
Weekly Pay: $2088 to $2160/week

Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions focusing on oncology care
Administer chemotherapy IV therapies and critical medications including Heparin and Lasix drips
Monitor treatment responses and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
Use and manage clinical equipment such as IV pumps NG tubes chest tubes and specialty beds
Collaborate with physicians case managers and allied health professionals for coordinated care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses medications and discharge planning
Document care accurately in the EPIC EMR system
Follow hospital policies and infection control protocols
Float to other units as needed
Qualifications:
Active New York RN License (verified through NURSYS)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience with required Oncology nursing experience
Travel nursing experience preferred
Certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory
Drivers license with address matching application demographics
