Description
CESA 6 is hiring a dynamic Human Resources Consultant join our team! This is a hybrid position working from home and traveling to the CESA 6 office and school districts.
The Consultant for Human Resources reports directly to the Chief People Officer and will be primarily responsible for providing high quality products and services related to Human Resources & Payroll Solutions and in general to clients within CESA 6 and statewide. The Human Resources Consultant will serve as an HR expert in the areas of employee relations engagement recruitment onboarding performance management compensation benefits and compliance throughout CESA 6 and the state of Wisconsin. The Human Resources Consultant will be well skilled in making effective presentations before large and small groups of people and able to effectively express ideas orally and in writing.
FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Actively grow the organizations in which the HR & Payroll Solutions team serves.
- Develop lead sell and market products and services related to Human Resources needs within K-12 school districts businesses and beyond.
- Develop promote and deliver high-quality timely products/services consistent with client and project goals.
- Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external customers.
- Gather organize analyze and utilize data to effectively determine client and department needs and to formulate solutions.
- Attend appropriate trainings meetings workshops and in-services.
- Utilize department protocol for the management of the invoice process.
- Plan create content and facilitate content specific to virtual and face-to-face meetings.
- Contribute to progress monitoring the department Plan on a Page in alignment with an individual Plan on a Page.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse work teams.
- Establish systems and measures to collect monitor evaluate and report information for key performance indicators and compliance with established goals objectives standards and policies.
- Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines.
Other Functions
- Attend conferences relevant to professional development at the local state and national levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience Education and/or Licensure
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Human Resources Organizational Leadership or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Human Resources Organizational Development or similar field. Leadership experience is preferred.
- SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP PHR or SPHR or similar HR certification(s) are strongly desired.
- Prior experience working within a school district or non-profit corporation is desired.

- Computer skills including email word processing and virtual meeting scheduling.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platform applications along with the ability to learn agency-specific applications to support business operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a professional and flexible office environment with or without visual and audible distractions.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends and travel to multiple work sites.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to drive to remote locations as needed.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this position the employee is occasionally required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
