Reporting to a registered nurse this person is someone enrolled in a Universitys Co-op program and seeking additional hands-on experience. Training evaluation and competencies for this role are overseen by an Accountable Nurse Leader to the department. This co op starts on January 5th 2026 and ends on June 26th 2026.Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides basic supportive care to patients including specific treatments and procedures related to Activities of Daily Living.
Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse including sterile dressing changes.
Collaborates with nursing staff to determine patient care plans.
Reports all patient activity to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Patient care experience required through any of the following areas: CNA MA EMT PCT certificate or completion of BIDMC in-house training program or Allied Health Pre Med and Physician Assistant candidates or Home Health Aide experience.
Enrolled in a Universitys Co-op program.
Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures with the ability to use them in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required.
Team Work: Ability to interact respectfully with other employees professional staff and/or external contacts to offer ideas identify issues obtain information or deliver services.
Customer Service: Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.

Pay Range:
$19.00 - $19.00The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors that may include seniority education training relevant experience relevant certifications geographyof work location job responsibilities or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials call pay premium pay overtime pay and other additional pay practices as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
