Job Summary
Non-CDL Box Truck Driver
Location: Meriden
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Yard Dispatcher / Store Manager
Were looking for a Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to be the face of Koopman Lumber on the road delivering materials safely and efficiently while keeping customer service at the heart of every trip.
What Youll Do
- As part of our team youll:
- Safely operate non-CDL box trucks to deliver materials on time to customer job sites
- Maintain contact with dispatch for updates instructions or redirection
- Load secure and unload cargo (using cleats load straps or lift gate as needed)
- Assist with manual loading/unloading when required
- Collect signatures take delivery photos and manage returns using mobile apps
- Complete digital and paper reports (fuel logs inspections forklift checklists etc.)
- Inspect vehicle daily checking fluids and completing pre- and post-trip reports
- Keep trucks clean safe and presentable inside and out
- Communicate with sales and customer teams about delivery questions or issues
- Represent Koopman Lumber with professionalism and courtesy at all times
