The JEDI (JADC2 Experimentation and Demonstration IPT) organization a part of the Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities (CBEC) business has an immediate need for a Value Stream Leader (VSL). This VSL will lead efforts to integrate demonstrate and influence JADC2 efforts that close gaps in long range sensing and effecting. This includes both internal and customer funded activities fitting Collins Aerospaces Connected Battlespace Strategic Initiative (CBSI). This VSL leads the Integrated Product Team (IPT) through their assigned efforts including strategic planning pursuit to order capture designing developing and transitioning products and capabilities.

This role focuses on integrating capabilities across Collins Aerospace demonstrating the operational benefit through large force exercises.This will involve day to day work with engineering and business development forming a strong triad to assess market space and customer defined gaps develop product roadmaps secure funding to fulfill product roadmaps and ultimately develop market defined minimum viable products (MVPs).

Experience within and understanding of the DoDs JADC2 efforts as well as knowledge/history in Battle Management Communications Command and Control (BMC3) flight testing mission operations and long range link is necessary to converge and connect capabilities. Ability to lead Large Force Exercises (LFEs) in this domain with the DoD is important to achieve business and mission objectives

This is an on-site position at one of the following site locations:

  • Cedar Rapids Iowa

  • El Segundo California

What You Will Do

  • Develop and Execute program plans schedules and budgets for internally and externally funded programs and manage them to successful completion by leading a matrix team

  • Coordinate with engineering business development and sales to generate technology roadmaps

  • Supports strategic planning efforts contract negotiations and manage key vendor relationships

  • Collaborate with other internal Collins Aerospace business units on R&D projects and product transition

  • Manage and prioritize multiple efforts simultaneously across a multi-disciplined team across multiple time zones

  • Lead and be accountable for Pursuit Order & Capture activities as part of growing the business

  • Interface with customers (e.g. DARPA AFRL NRL NSA Prime Contractors etc.) and Senior Collins leadership (VP/GM) of strategy and program execution to obtain sponsorship and funding

  • Identify and react to program problems and recommend solutions such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications and assists in resolution development for escalated problems

  • Supervises the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resources

  • Be able to travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience

  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain TS/SCI after start.

  • Experience with Systems and Project Management

  • Experience leading and managing complex product or system developments

  • Experience presenting and conveying complicated strategy business and technology topics to senior leadership

  • Experience in BMC3 and flight testing

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience capturing S&T funding to augment internal investments is beneficial

  • Active or Existing TS/SCI or TS/SCI /SAP is preferred

  • Previous Engineering experience is preferred

  • Experience with hardware and/or software project planning and execution is preferred

The salary range for this role is 147000 USD - 295000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
