The post holder will be responsible for Monitor and analyze mechanical devices for problems develop and test devices for improvement recommend design changes and manufacturing issues. Perform and analyzing tests to track results and make improvements. Manages work areas trades and units and/or specific functions to ensure that a high quality cost-effective service is delivered by the department in support of the hospitals strategic plan and the functions goals and objectives.
As post holder you are responsible for the tasks such as but not limited to the following:
- Contributes to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations.
- Responsible for HVAC Refrigeration Plumbing general mechanical & steam maintenance at the Hospital
- Prepare operating instructions and review technical literature participate in test runs or field installation
- Leads collaborative support for all engineering and architectural involvement relating to planning for new construction renovation and other asset modernization
- Uses res Leads timely and effective preventive and ad hoc maintenance for all critical infrastructure including but not limited to medical gases pressure relationships impacting infection control ambient temperatures control of potable and utility water use devices and systems and provision of steam resources supporting surgical services and HVAC needs
- Sources effectively and efficiently to achieve the goals and objectives of the department within established budgets by determining future needs monitoring actual progress and allocating resources to meet a changing environment.
- Contributes to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities eliminating impediments and resolving problems
- Continually strives to improve the quality and productivity of the department by establishing priorities monitoring performance measurements identifying & recommending improvement opportunities and eliminating obstacles
Qualifications :
Academic Qualification: BSc Mechanical Engineering with a valid license from PEC
Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical and plumbing system
